WEEC 2012 - Measurement and Verification Panelboard

Until now, monitoring capabilities were only available at the panel level, preventing accurate branch circuit pin-pointing of energy waste, but the MVP's ability to monitor energy usage by plug load, circuit, zone, space, or complete lighting system, allows facility managers to isolate energy use with improved precision. The MVP family of products provides savings by controlling lights and also provides a total infrastructure for measuring and verifying the performance of all lighting energy conservation measures. Facility managers can observe breaker status, system operation, or make configuration changes with user-friendly software. www.Schneider-Electric.com

Push-In Relay Test - Lifting Free Weights - Phoenix Contact

PLC PT Relays equipped with our spring-cage, push-in termination technology have a reliable, long-lasting connection ideal for high-vibration applications. The retention force is five times the IEC requirement. Terminations are made by simply pushing the wire into the PT terminal, using very little force. No specialized tools are required, which helps reduce installation time and costs. The PT relays ensure faster wiring, up to 60% faster than the screw termination style. To disconnect the wire, simply insert a screwdriver into the orange release key, push and release the wire. Our push-in technology creates a high degree of usability and includes a wide range of connections; from 26 AWG to 14 AWG wire sizes.

We have created a series of videos, putting this push-in termination technology to the test. In this video, you can see us using our PT relays to lift free weights. This test helps to prove that our PLC PT relays can stand up to retention force and offer a reliable, long-lasting connections with no backing out.

Klein Tools Distance Meter Video

Klein Tools' VDV Distance Meter (Cat. No. VDV501-089) measures voice, data, video, doorbell, siamese, lamp-wire and NM cables up to 1,500 feet. It has six pre-programmed nominal cable length constants for RG59, RG6 and RG11 coaxial as well as Cat3, Cat5e and Cat6 twisted pair. In addition, the VDV Distance Meter lets the user adjust the capacitance/foot constant based on the cable being tested. This tester also ensures compliance and identifies cable runs outside specification. The fault finder feature determines if a cable run is broken or damaged. Furthermore, the VDV Distance Meter saves time and increases efficiencies by measuring cable remaining in a box or on a reel as well as facilitating estimates and billing jobs correctly. To learn more, visit www.kleintools.com.
